MaK - LJ - M33 - HO Scale - DCC Silent (DC)

The MaK 650 D, introduced in 1957 by German manufacturer Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK), is an eight-axle diesel-hydraulic locomotive designed mainly for freight use on secondary and private railways. Developed from earlier shunting and light freight designs, it combined robust construction, high tractive effort, low operating costs, and smooth hydraulic transmission, making it ideal for shunting and secondary freight services.

With a top speed of 80km/h, 21 units were built for operators in Germany, Turkey and Denmark. In Denmark, the 650 D earned a strong reputation for reliability and versatility with private local railway operators.
