Simple but well thought out cradle. Particularly useful for securing coaches while working on their bogies.
It is a block of rubber what is there to say. Hold the locos well. Has two cut aways for holding your lococs. One is a direct channel for working on either the base of the model or the top and another cut out which is angled so you can work on the sides. Made of quite dense foam, apparently it has a magnet down the middle which I have yet to use but will I am sure find useful so I don't lose screws etc.
Produced by ESU this premium Foam Train Servicing Crade is neat. It has a section at the back to hold rolling stock upright or face down to work and service on a model. The front section is cut in away at an angle to allow you to work on a model from the side on. Then inbetween there is a 2cm wide strip along its length with the ESU logo. This is magnetic so you store and hold any screws etc in this middle as not to lose them. The foam itself is soft and cushsie so that it won't mark or scratch your models. The base of it is the high density foam type to rest on your lap or workbench area. A great product that I will use repeatedly from now on.

Very useful but a bit expensive for what it is.
This loco cradle is a excellent maintenance tool, especially with its 2 holding bays - I find the angled holder extremely useful for transfer & nameplate applications. For years I've been using the Peco version, which after using ESU cradle, now seems totally inadequate. I wish I'd purchased one a lot earlier.

Just added this to get the free postage - does all it claims - the magnetic **** holder is very useful.
Only gripe is that it’s a bit big for the workbench.

Good idea didn't realise it was extendable by adding another. I would like to see one 0 gauge.

Very useful accessory which protects your model and allows you to work safely knowing the model is secure. Would happily recommend the product.
I have recently purchased a loco cradle for servicing and repairs of 00 models. Models today are frequently fitted with very fine details that can be easily damaged. The cradle allows you to protect the model while handling and keep it stable. There is a recessed section for normal access and a section for side access. It also has a very usefull magnetized tray for keeping metal parts and screws safe. All in all a good buy and very usefull.
