Produced between 1960 and 1962, The class 45 were built as a collaboration between British Railways' Derby Works and Crewe Works and were a stable part of mainline traction on the Midland Mainline right up to 1982 when they were used for secondary services after the introduction of the HSTs.

Highly praised O Scale locomotive model with exceptional value and performance. Customers said it's "the best model by far" with "awesome" running quality that's "smooth and almost silent." The model features impressive detail and weight. Minor issue noted with lamp operation where both white and red lamps illuminate simultaneously in forward direction on both cab ends.
Pleased with the loco, detail, cost and delivery time.
One area I must point out, which is disappointing, when operating number 1 cab end in a forward direction the white and red lamps are both lit and the same with cab end 2 in a forward direction. Hence the 4 stars.
Apart from that all good.
You’ll find a switch inside to control the tail

The best model by far of this wonderful class of loco. Royal in every sense.
Another great loco in the 45/1 - I had already purchased a 45/0 but felt I needed another to represent an ETH loco. Again an awesome runner, looking fantastic and its regimental name suiting it. At these prices you can’t go wrong, fantastic value, and a fantastic loco.
Good value
Arrived well packed with no damage. It may have a few flaws but it looks like a peak to my eyes and will look great in my display case. For the money you couldn't go wrong.

Wasn’t looking to buy another peak as already had 2, 1 from the first realise and another from the current release but who can resist a bargain
