Fabulous model to my eye and it captures the look of a warship spot on its well detailed. They all run smoothly and quite straight out of the box and the finish is excellent on the four I purchased.
I've reviewed it for Model Rail magazine. It's a great model - the first decent 'OO' Warship. I had 17 coaches behind it. Nothing much to criticise. Bought some etched nameplates for it but that's the only change I've made.

Really surprised by this model, it has the weight, finish and detail of a Accurascale model which is quite a departure from Heljian of old. Really impressed with my two models and very pleased I pre ordered them trusting they would be good. They turned up great !

Lovely looking loco. Ran well right out of the box. Only problem came when l installed the decode. I used a AE Models decoder but this didn’t produce the correct functions. Speaking to Heljan was told l needed to use an ESU decoder. Thus the fitted one was now redundant and had to buy an ESU one. There was nothing in the manual to explain this.
It’s a great model that runs brilliantly.
Solid well detailed model that runs very well with plenty of haulage capacity. Only criticism is there was a pipe missing from the bag of extra details and some of those were really fiddly to fit for those of us older folk and could have been factory fitted without interfering with the loco coupling.
