One of our most popular ‘OO’ gauge models is returning in late-2025 after several years out of the range. The classic BRCW Type 3 – better known as Class 33/0 – is back with six liveries ranging from original BR Green to 1980s BR Blue and contemporary West Coast Railways red. Also included in the batch is unique BR Blue/Yellow 33012 in late-1990s condition and 33026 in early-1990s BR ‘General’ Grey.

Yet another lovely loco in a blue box! The running straight out the box has been perfect, great value loco. It certainly won’t be my last 33 from Heljan.
I do like the drab grey on some of the Br Diesels and this one does capture it well
I will be adding sound to this one and weathering quite heavily.

Very pleased Heljan have stopped fitting the buffer beam detailing and supplying it in the detailing pack.
This model is very good and is worth every penny of the asking price. The price point allows this great model to be within reach of all modellers.
The model is fitted with separately fitted hand rails but many of the other detailing parts are molded. This makes the model robust and great for young modellers or those that need regular handling without the fear of knocking parts off.
That said don’t be fooled, the detail though molded is great has good depth and is crisp.
Model of fitted with sprung buffers and lots of options for additional parts are supplied in the detailing pack.
Model body can be a snug fit, so care needed when removing. The wiper blades appear more refined on this model to other versions.
The livery application is crisp with no paint bleed.

Received the Class 33 loco in perfect condition. Purchased at a good price. Runs perfectly out of the box. Run in now and perfectly satisfied. Excellent!

These 33's are beautiful models, well finished paintwork and really good runners straight from the box. Very pleased with my purchase and will buy Heljan again in the future, probably another 33 if they become available. Happy to recommend.

This is a good model with the latest updates to the class 33. It runs smoothly and well and my model has been fitted with a sound decoder. In my opinion one of the better Heljan OO scale locomotives
