One of our most popular ‘OO’ gauge models is returning in late-2025 after several years out of the range. The classic BRCW Type 3 – better known as Class 33/0 – is back with six liveries ranging from original BR Green to 1980s BR Blue and contemporary West Coast Railways red. Also included in the batch is unique BR Blue/Yellow 33012 in late-1990s condition and 33026 in early-1990s BR ‘General’ Grey.

This OO Scale model locomotive receives excellent feedback. Customers said it's a "smooth runner" with "superb detailing" and "great value for money." The motor is notably quiet and powerful. Most praise it as running "perfectly out of the box." One customer noted low-speed smoothness may improve with use, and another wished buffer details came pre-fitted.

A very nice model of the Class 33, with a beautiful applied livery, and detailing is superb. I have a number of Heljan C33s now and this engine is no exception and at a bargain price for anyone's pocket.

I do like Class 33s. This one is very smart and is eager to run, not requiring much power to set off at a reasonable speed. As with some Heljan models, straight out of the box it does not seem to run really smoothly at low speeds (it runs quite well but some might notice it) and this may well improve with running time. At under £100 I could not say no.

Nice Loco an upgrade from my previous Heljan model class 33 , the new Loco runs smoothly and quite , it’s now sound fitted and going off to be weathered and renumbered to 33014

Really nice loco and great runner. My only disappointment, and Heljan can’t win here, is that the loco did not come with all the buffer detail fitted. I am not skilled enough to go some of the smaller parts and do like the detail to be fitted. Other than that, loco has lots of detail and powerful motor so great, especially at the current price
