While the numbers 149 and 150 are now famously associated with modern Pacer and Sprinter trains, in this context, they refer to much older unpowered trailer cars built in the late 1950s.

Unpowered Units: These do not have motors. They are designed to be hauled or pushed by a powered Class 121/122 unit. (149 and 150 respectively)

DCC Capability: They feature a 21-pin DCC interface. This allows you to install a decoder to control the interior and directional lighting independently.

Lighting: Equipped with authentic exterior directional lighting (headcodes/tail lights) and fully detailed interior lighting for the passenger saloons and cabs.

Couplings: Features magnetic couplings for easy attachment to other units and sprung buffers for a realistic appearance.

Detailing: Includes a highly detailed underframe, wire-formed handrails, and a complete interior with seats and driver's desk.

Nicely crafted detailed model. A suitable addition to the class 122 railcar.
Arrived damaged sadly.
It was a lovely model. But unfortunately I wanted a blue/grey version. There was an error in advertising. But Heljan have corrected. The returns process is great and very easy to follow. Just waiting for my refund now so I can spend it on other heljan products thanks
What a beautiful model this is! Heljan have nailed this. Look forward to more DMU’s to this standard! 101 or 108 next?
I marked this 4/5 as there was a loose part internally in the model. That said the model was firmly packaged in a sturdy box, but that’s the only thing that trips the scoring up.
I do feel that should highlight better that this is a single car not a complete unit. I do feel some may get caught out expecting a two car unit.
The model itself is beautifully detailed and captures the shape and look of the real thing.
The buffer beam detailing really finishes this model off.
The paint finish is perfect and I am really please do chose the weathered version, as the shuttle finish really captures the in service life of this unit.
Would I recommend- yes (it’s unpowered and a single unit)
Would I buy again - I don’t have a need for another, but would consider.
Have I brought again - No, I currently don’t need another one.
bit of a impulse buy this one but it is a nice price for the weathered version in early green livery.
don’t like the visible wires in the compartment though.

The Class 150 driving trailer is a superb model with accurate colours, with superb interior and exterior detail and excellent application of the lining and yellow warning panel, this particular model is very nicely weathered too.
Looks great when coupled to a class 121 or 122 bubble car.

Nicely done unit, though I did notice the picture and description dont match. I went with the picture and that is what I recieved. The model itself is very nice, with light weathering applied. Would recommend 👌
