Built in 1958, the class 122 diesel railcars were primarily used for suburban work on the London Midland region and some even made it as far as running on Scotish routes. This design of single car units were nicknamed "Bubble Cars" by railway enthusiasts. In 1968 some of the Class 122 units were converted to carry parcels and reclassified to Class 131.
This model features a high level of exterior detail, a powerful motor and a fitted interior. A great addition to your BR Era model railway.

Great model and easy to install DCC sound and passengers. Had part of the coupling come away in transit which is not unusual, but this time it was missing. However, an email to Heljan and a replacement was quickly sent out. Thank you, great service!
My second class 122 DMU, this one is just as good as the first.

Great looking railcar, Ideal for small layouts.
It looks really nice, a slightly faded paint finish that looks really realistic. I just need to paint the chassis and do some weathering after I get a sound chip and speaker fitted. Hopefully when it cools down next week I’ll get the running in done. The glazing looks great much better than the Dapol version. I’d just like to see a class 29 appear in the range soon.
