Class 05 - Industrial - Cider Queen - OO Scale

The Class 05 is a small locomotive with a big personality. Introduced in the 1950s as part of the BR Modernisation Plan, these Hunslet-built shunters were a common sight in the docks and yards of the Eastern Region. While their mainline career was relatively short, their rugged construction ensured a long second life in private industry and on heritage lines. Our model captures the "squat" and purposeful stance of this 204hp favorite.

Modeling a small shunter requires a focus on movement. Our Class 05 features fully functional external coupling rods and a detailed jackshaft drive, recreating the hypnotic mechanical action of the prototype. With a heavy die-cast chassis squeezed into its compact footprint, this model provides the exceptional slow-speed "creep" and surprising pulling power required for intricate yard shunting.
