These four wheel tank wagons were often a common sight around freight yards and large oil depots, being shunted around or taken away to depots. They were fitted with bottom discharge outlets and were sometimes fitted with a static steam supply at the discharge point in order to accelerate the flow of the more viscous fluids carried.
This model features many external details, such as sprung buffers, 3-link chain couplings, free rolling wheels, external pipe details and clear livery and owner markings.

Well what can i say Nice models i have bought 4 of these esso tanks and took advantage of heljans 10% dicount on the second I am impress for a little tank sure doesn't dissappoint I am not opening all the boxes to show them all But here is the first one in from with in the box and I going to use them on my other layouts which is a small diesel depot. I am well happy. But yes Definitely recommend them. A++++
Well these are just lovely. I was in two minds about buying a rake oil tanks as I thought I'd rarely run them on my small-ish layout (pic).
Then they arrived - and they are gorgeous - so I inevitably invent excuses to run them anyway!
As ever detailing, scaling, fit and finish are superlative - they're really nice things to admire, and to run. The four wagon rake looks great behind my class 73, or 3MT tank - and now I need to build a refinery of some kind... And a MUCH longer track so I can buy a load more!
The multi-buy discount is great too, too. So-- TL;DR: - I'm chuffed!
