W&M Railbus - BR Grøn - E79961 - OO Skala

Very nice model and really quite heavy for its size. Runs extremely smoothly round my tracks. Wish I'd bought one sooner really as I was missing out on a great model.

This is a very heavy model for its size. It copes with my standard points and appears fine apart from the passenger door handrails both being slightly bent. I had pondered about getting one of these for a long time. Eventually I decided that I would never find a better time to get one if I was ever going to do so.
The model arrived within 24 hours. The box was apparently sent to the Royal Mail around about midnight (so the sender potentially uses an 18-24 hour operation).

My first one had damaged corner glazing, Heljan replaced it but that had identical damage suggesting a factory assembly issue perhaps. The third one was perfect. The model looks spot-on to photos and has really fine detailing all round and inside. Very smooth runner, and holds the track well due to the weight of it. Not sure if the number of lights that illuminate in direction of travel (on DC) is correct though. Heljan were very good about the replacements, no quibbling and speedy service, so thank you Heljan, it's comforting to know the back up is there in event of problems.

A little hesitant over insulfrog points but a nicely detailled model withe excellent features at a very competative price.

The model looks really good and was a really good price. I have tested to make sure it works, but so far have been unable to test properly. Am waiting for a decoder to arrive, but have no concerns about the product.

Very happy indeed with this purchase I do have a Airfix model motorised but this far better.

A really well built model. As others have said, it’s remarkably heavy for its size. I measured mine at 470gms, which is more than many 4-6-2 tender locomotives. At this weight with only two axels it does tend to “clunk” over points and rail joints. I don’t see it as an issue as the real unit would have done the same. Not looking forward to opening her up as there are plenty of reviews saying how awkward it can be. However, once I’ve completed the sound file and loaded my decoder, it’ll be a case of easy dose it! Similarly, I’ll be looking to see if I can fit a working tail light / lamp as the prototype used separate oil lamps on the rear. Would I recommend it to anyone? Certainly, especially at sub £100.

This is a nice model with plenty of weight. Excellent value for money. Runs well and looks the part.

Despite some bad press in the past, this model is actually rather good, especially in this latest version - I suspect many of the earlier criticisms have been addressed. I model in DC- be aware though that for those who want to fit a DCC decoder fitting can be a bit of a challenge.

Generally very goodindeed. One of the models had a problem - lights up but the motor does not run.

VERY HAPPY GREAT MODEL AND A VERY GOOD PRICE

I was surprised that such a small 4 wheeled item has no problems picking up current and its never stalled on my track. Its a good runner. The details are reasonable and paintwork and finish excellent. Only slight downside is that its heavy so clatters over pointwork so for this reason I prefer a low speed. I bought it for just under £100 at the Heljan site so regard it as a good buy.
