Customers praised this O gauge locomotive as "a beauty" with "amazing detail and finish." The model runs smoothly and quietly, perfect for micro layouts and shunting. One customer noted defects including a bent buffer and broken cab lever, disappointing given the price. Most found it excellent value under £100.
Lovely Little Loco, great details and a smooth runner.
A great little runner, at under £100 & predominantly metal build I'll be letting the grandson drive it.
It's the perfect introduction to model railways & competes favourably with the usual oo gauge Thomas the tank engine.
These a great intro into O gauge for a good price.

My third Ruston 48ds and it's another beauty. It drives great, just like the other 2. Going to weather it and add a driver.
Really heavy and great size for building first micro layout
Bought this to paint it, such a great loco
Nice little model with metal body and preparation for sound decoder.
I was able to run it in on a rolling road and then gave it a good work out on a large outdoor layout. It worked very well and pulled the train load of wagons with ease.
Another top value 0 gauge loco. Really suits a bit of grime.
A lovely little loco that has refuelled my plan to build a little shunting layout. Due to the metal chassis it's quite heavy too considering its size.

A great model with very good running qualities, just out of the box it was able to crawl on the track. It got even better after running it in. And for the price I just couldn't resist ;-)

Overall a nice model.
Runs cleanly and quietly out of the box.
However the only downside is this also came with a bent buffer and a broken/snapped control lever inside the cab.
It’s disappointing paying so much money only for it to have these defects.
The DS 48 loco is a beauty, looks and runs sweet. Amazing detail and finish. Lovely.
