This O Scale locomotive model receives universal praise from customers who describe it as "stunning" with "beautiful detail" and excellent quality. Customers said it "runs beautifully straight out of the box" and offers "great value." Some note difficult screw access for body removal and vulnerable sand pipes, but overall it's highly recommended.
This Class 37 from Heljan O gauge has a lot of class and then some, … it’s a weighty model that exudes quality and the desire to be part of a special collection!!
This model depicts the class superbly especially in the west coast livery.
Details are very good even down to the chains on the bogies. All good.

I am moving from EM gauge to indoor/garden O gauge and this was a bargain not to be missed. Beautiful detail and colour scheme. Boght a Class 45 recently too. Just need to find relevant coaches which are in very short supply..!
As new to the wonders of o gauge locomotives I modelled n gauge this is a brilliant locomotive so good I bought 2 off the other 37 being inter City livery now sound fitted loving it

The only downside with this purchase was, upon trying to get the body off, I found that the screws were virtually impossible to access. This should be corrected on future releases, perhaps Heljan should get the designer to carry-out what the manual says, thus checking if it is correct.

Great locomotive, much improved with the XL(pins) decoder interface. Downsides are the vulnerable sand pipes moulded to the fuel tanks (which needs to be fitted) and the need to remove the bogie side frames to access the body screws. Positives are the lugs to fit an ESU EM2 speaker in the roof and the sheer weight and presence of this diesel. Fitting a crew in the cab could be easier though please. Recommended.
