PROTOTYPE
Den meget efterspurgte og vidt rejste Første Generation DMU, som udgør den ideelle ledsager til andre HELJAN OO-skala modeller, herunder Klasse 25, 45 og 47.
BR Klasse 104 DMU bygget af Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Co. til London Midland og North Eastern Regions. CAD-arbejdet er i gang, og billeder vil blive frigivet, så snart designarbejdet er færdigt. Denne model vil være tilgængelig i et bredt udvalg af BR-liveries, der dækker klassens levetid fra 1957 til pensioneringen af de sidste sæt i 1993.
Med 302 vogne bygget i seks forskellige vogntyper er ’104’ den største gruppe af BR dieseldrevne togvogne, som ikke findes i færdigkørt form. Den eneste tidligere RTR-model blev produceret til ’TT’-skala i slutningen af 1950’erne.
Selvom de er synonymt med Manchester-området og ruterne til Buxton og Blackpool, kørte enhederne over et stort område i det nordlige England og Midlands, og mod slutningen af deres karriere nåede de længere væk til Skotland og det sydøstlige England.
MODEL
Den nye HELJAN OO-skala Klasse 104 vil have en lavprofileret mekanisme, der driver én vogn pr. sæt, skiftbare indvendige og udvendige lysfunktioner, en 21-pins DCC-dekodergrænseflade og mulighed for DCC-lyd. Muligheder for fabriksmonteret DCC-lyd på alle modeller undersøges og vil blive annonceret separat. Udvendige detaljer vil inkludere autentiske variationsdetaljer passende til periode og liveries, et meget detaljeret interiør og understel, separate håndlister og fjedrende støddæmpere.

Bought with a 30% discount - so bargain basement price for a three car unit.
Lovely standard of finish - runs beatifully out of the box. A few very minor niggles - the electrical connections between the coaches are a bit fiddly (maybe I have fat fingers) and the visibility of wires inside the unit mentioned elsewhere - but overall I'm very pleased with it.
On removing a driver coach from the clear plastic a bogie and two bits of black plastic fell away from the chassis. I never got to try it. I am awaiting word from Heljan as I want a refund. I have another Class 104 DMU the Mexican Bean livery that I bought a few months ago. No problems so far
Excellent model but you can see the pcb board through the windows and you can see the lighting wires other than that a great model
It is a lovely model of a class 104 DMU, the livery is spot on, well detailed and has very strong packaging. It was also shipped out very fast, and communications were excellent! This is a new, exciting way to purchase models, and I have other items on pre-order too, looking very forward to those models when they arrive!
five stars for the heljan class 104 green diesel mulltiple unit nice model well detailed smooth runner from order to delivery was very quick i think it was two days well packed will be buying more from heljan online.
Really nice model and, with discount, excellent value for money. Some of the electronics are visible (dcc chip placement and capacitor in separate coach) but with so many windows, I can understand that is is difficult to at least hide dcc chip holder. Really good runner and very easy to connect together.

I'm really pleased with the Heljan 3 car class 104. The BR green with speed whiskers is rendered extremely well and the Birmingham New St and Leicester destinations are perfect for my midland based layout. The electrical connections between the cars are easy to fit and the magnetic couplers work well. The unit is competitively priced and a superb addition to the fleet.
A fantastic looking DMU. More to the point, my version is in green. I’m an absolute sucker for anything in green 🙄. Having run it in on DC, I’m impressed with how smoothly it runs. Internal and external lighting is impressive. The intention is to fit a sound decoder, crew and passengers at some stage which obviously means opening up the units. At that point, I’ll see if I can address some of the internal wiring as some of it hangs down and can be seen through the glazing. That said, at a few pence under £250, it’s a bargain considering the original RRP was almost £490. For those who aren’t a sucker for anything in green, there are some fantastic other liveries still out there.

Arrived overnight. Well packed. Great presentation box. Captured the prototype very well. Great detailing and finish well up to if not exceeding the standard of my Heljan 0 gauge models. Unable to comment on perforfance since l don't have a layout in 00. It will sit well in my display cabinet. Overall very pleased.
