GWR var pioner inden for brugen af dieselmotorvogne til persontransport i 1930'erne. Den mest talrige variant var den batch, der blev bygget i 1940-42 med sin karakteristiske vinklede 'razor edge' karrosseri. Anvendt på sidespor og lokale tjenester, var de den perfekte enkeltvogn passagertog og fortsatte med at yde fremragende service indtil de blev erstattet af BR DMU'er i begyndelsen af 1960'erne. Denne model har separat tændbare forlygter, baglygter, salon- og førerhuslys samt et fuldt detaljeret interiør.

Highly detailed OO scale railcar that "really captures the prototype" with excellent weathering and directional lighting. Customers praised smooth running and great value pricing. However, DCC installation is challenging due to wire congestion and decoder orientation issues. Interior detailing is basic with bland features.
I've now run rhis model in. Runs beautifully in both directions, directional and interior lights all function properly using DC and I think the model really captures the prototype. Even the cat is impressed.

Love this model but it could have been so much better.
The DCC fitting is a pain.To many wires in the way and the decoder has to go in upside down(why).If you redo this model dcc lighting needs sorting and easier decoder fitting.This is a lovely model at fantastic price wish I could have given it 5*, but I can't.
Very prompt dispatch (arrived the day after I ordered it) and well packaged. Couldn't resist it at the price. Very attractive model - not run it yet but very happy so far.
Good value model at the price, quickly delivered and a good runner, I have fitted DCC sound and agree this was made difficult by the proliferation of existing wires, but it can be done.
Nice addition, runs smoothly and just right for the layout and contrasts with my green liveried one. The weathering is subtle and nicely applied.

Oddly on arrival it would not run in one direction but after a few mins running in the other direction it was happy to work properly both ways. No idea why.
Very pleased and a good price
Authentic model of the GWR AEC railcar. Externally, well finished and detailed. The lights fitted to the cab at each end are an attractive feature. The interior has seating but is otherwise somewhat bland and featureless.

I have long wanted a good model of the AEC Railcar and the Heljan product is a great model, excellent capture of the prototype which is well detailed and finished. Runs very well and looks at home on my layout. Anyone pondering buying one shouldn't hesitate to buy. Happily recommend Heljan service and products.
