GWR var pioner inden for brugen af dieselmotorvogne til persontransport i 1930'erne. Den mest talrige variant var den batch, der blev bygget i 1940-42 med sin karakteristiske vinklede 'razor edge' karrosseri. Anvendt på sidespor og lokale tjenester, var de den perfekte enkeltvogn passagertog og fortsatte med at yde fremragende service indtil de blev erstattet af BR DMU'er i begyndelsen af 1960'erne. Denne model har separat tændbare forlygter, baglygter, salon- og førerhuslys samt et fuldt detaljeret interiør.

Customers praised this OO scale railcar model as an "excellent" addition with nice detailing and competitive pricing. Most found it runs smoothly, though one noted jittery performance on DCC. The green color and directional lighting were highlights. Some concerns about packaging quality during shipping and occasional noise levels.
Great Model Runs well no trouble at all
Looks lovely. Runs very well in both directions (albeit slightly noisier than I might have anticipated.) And the directional lighting works well both ways on DC.
Only one item had fallen off in transit - put to one side to put back another day.
So I'm happy with the model...
BUT - please Heljan pack these better for postage. The locomotive boxes were loose, and free to move about in a large cardboard carton. The result is a damaged Heljan box and cover which a small amount of care (wrap in bubble wrap perhaps) could have prevented.
I purchased this Railcar at the same time as my GWR Railcar. This model is slightly better than it. Please see my other review for more details. I feel I have to fit passengers and a driver to this excellent model. When I run it I really feel I am travelling on a 1950's railway line. A slightly eccentric machine but as wonderful as the flying bedstead.
Nice looking model but on DCC a very jittery runner even after running in, changed the decoder but still not good runner.
Very good runner, like the green colour, better than the previous Lima and Hornby models. Will be fun to try and fit sound to this model.
