Dogfish - Hollandsk - DB983210 - O Skala

5/5 I was waiting for these to come available and the day I forget to check they do and sell out, but as soon as this one popped up; in the basket it went.

I am new to O gauge and these are the first models I have purchased in this scale. But one of the miss conceptions I had was they were going to look very plasticky, but they don’t.

The first thing that gets you when you take this wagon out of the box, is the weight; it’s heavy.

The look of the wagon does reflect the real thing. Though by today’s standards there are parts of the tooling showing its age. However… I intend to run these in the garden, and they will get some handling. So the lack of delicate detail is ok for me.

The brake handle turns! It doesn’t put brakes on, but does turn. The paint finish is perfect with no issues and all the signage is clear and readable.

The buffers are sprung loaded and a little clunky, some metal ones would look better.

All in all I am very happy with this model, it does exactly what I wanted it for. Just hope more comes into stock. The price is very competitive and with the rake builder, given more money off is great.

Would I recommend - yes
Would I buy again - yes
Have I brought again - No (but will when they come back into stock)
