Class 47 er en af de mest masseproducerede lokomotiver i BR-flåden. Disse lokomotiver blev designet og bygget mellem 1962 og 1968 af Brush Traction og British Rail Crewe Works. De blev brugt over hele den vestlige region til at trække passagertjenester og kan stadig ses køre op og ned i landet med specialtjenester.

This OO Scale locomotive model delivers "excellent value for money" with a powerful motor and smooth, quiet operation. Customers praised its weight, detail level, and reliable performance. One shopper noted "runs perfect out of the box." While most reviews were positive, one reported loose parts upon delivery. The grey livery divides opinion but offers customization potential.
I've bought this Class 47 to go with my many departmental wagons, as I was missing this livery from my fleet of locomotives. This is my second Heljan 47 in recent months after Accurascale took over the faultiering company. The models are very well decorated in the livery and the printed detailing. The locomotive also runs smoothly especially after the initial run in period of 30 minutes forward and in reverse. There is a few bits and bots in the accessories baggie, the main pieces being the two included snowploughs for each end with longer screws to mount them under the buffer beam. I've a few other Heljan locos in my wish list, especially those (like this Class 47) being under £100 each that are real bargain purchases. I've even picked up two shunters from the Model Rail magazine summer sale with 50% off that I purchased last week for under £85, a BR Class 11 and a PWM 165DE Ruston.

The lucky spin offer meant I managed to get this and 2 other models for 30% off the already reduced prices. I was fortunate enough to have the spare money so took the opportunity offered. The Class 47 is a good model for the price and exceptional at the reduced price I paid. It is heavy and runs nicely on my 3rd radius oval. The dark grey livery may not be to everyone's taste but it struck me as being a bit different.
Another Class 47 for my layout. Runs very well and has a powerful motor. Had no issues running on my layout and looks good with a set of wagons.
This may be a drab livery but cant wait to weather it up to look like a well worked freight loco.
This will be getting a sound chip fitted shortly and added to the fleet.
Excellent loco. Good build quality, very heavy, and the running quality is excellent, very quiet, very smooth, speed control is realistic, and you can see the effect of the dual fly wheels when speeding up, or slowing down. Excellent value for money.

Very nice model. It runs really well, smooth and powerful. The lighting is excellent and the livery application is very smart.
Only niggle is that to fit the tension lock couplings, it required me to break off all the bufferbeam pipework as it was firmly glued in place.
An incredibly amazing model for the price, and backed up with world beating customer service! What isn't to love?

I'd already bought one of the new Class 47s (47555 in InterCity Executive livery) when they came out, and was happy with it - whilst the "experts" tell us that the shape isn't right (particularly the "face" from straight on), it's not something I can easily notice, even when next to Class 47 models from other manufacturers. So when the price was significantly reduced I had no hesitation in purchasing three more (47316 in Blue, 47450 in Large Logo Blue and 47329 in Departmental Grey). I'm happy with all of them.
I like the pre-fitted buffer beam detail - personally I'm happier trimming the pipes back at the end I wish to add a tension lock coupler, rather than struggling to fit small parts into even smaller holes (which have often been reduced in diameter by paint, so need cleaning out!).
Love the detail on this model for this price point.
When released this model was over priced for the flaws it had. The model just doesn’t compete with the Bachmann 47 of the older version let alone their latest.
However, by putting the price point where they have; has meant they are perfect for the railroad market and are light years ahead of Hornby railroad levels.
While body isn’t quite right in looks and the features are lacking this model is perfect for the now market it is aiming at now.
