D63 Royal Inniskilling Fusilier (BR SYP Economy Green )
D63 is our first OO gauge Class 45 in the simplified ‘Economy Green’ livery applied to many Class 45s during the mid-1960s. Dispensing with the grey trim, grilles and roof panels of the original BR Green scheme, this cost-saving livery reduced the time required for repainting during works visits.
Perfect for layouts set in the second half of the 1960s, it sits comfortably alongside both BR Green and early BR Blue-era stock, representing a key transitional period in the class’s history. At the time depicted, D63 was allocated to Toton depot and could be found hauling everything from Midland Main Line expresses to mail trains and loose-coupled mineral workings.
Named in September 1965 after the British Army regiment active between 1881 and 1968, D63 was one of 26 Class 45s to carry military names.

Another excellent model, extremely pleased
Very nice model. But if a faff getting the body off. But plenty of space to install a decoder, seat alive and a beefy speaker.
I already had Royal Corps of Transport so I knew what I was getting when I ordered D63. It's a silky smooth runner and boy does it look the part. It's a massive locomotive with all the heft of the real thing.
Much smaller gap between the bogies and body than the peak from the other manufacturer which makes it a much better looking model IMHO. The rest of the detail is probably better too. This is my 3rd Heljan peak and just as delighted as I was with the first 2.
I already have five of the class 45's, when the economy green version appeared at the lower price it seemed logical to get one.
