BR Blue FYE 45104 The Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers
One of the most famous ‘celebrity Peaks’ of the late 1980s, 45104 received a remarkable array of depot-applied embellishments during its final years. These included checkerplate nameplates, black cab surrounds, white window frames, orange warning stripes, Network SouthEast flashes and high-intensity headlights.
Our model captures the locomotive in its final and most distinctive guise, as seen on railtours, enthusiast specials and depot open days during 1987 and 1988. Perfect for pairing with BR Blue/Grey coaching stock, Network SouthEast formations or railtour rakes, it represents one of the most iconic Class 45s of the preservation-era twilight of BR diesel traction.

Model locomotive praised for excellent quality and detail. Customers said it "runs like a dream" with quiet, smooth operation and strong pulling power. Paint finish and decoration highly commended. Minor buffer issues reported but considered negligible. Described as "absolute bargain" at current price.

I was surprised and caught off-guard when the Peaks suddenly appeared on the reduced list of models. Initially I did not take action but relented before nearly all had sold out. After all, my blue Mainline Peak dates from over 4 decades ago.
The model I opted for arrived quickly and seems to be very good. During running in it did developed a slight wheel noise as it went around bends. I lubricated the front and rear bogie axles and, after further running, the noise now seems to have gone away. I have noticed that the central lights sometimes flicker on momentarily when the model crosses a point but this is very minor. They work fine when the model is running forwards with the same lights at the front.
lovely model,quiet running, good pulling power, fab detail and paint job.
Buffer was lying in box when opened simply super glued on .

Excellent quality locomotive with a superb paint finish, runs like a dream. Slight gripe one sprung buffer sticks in but honestly I don't care.
