Klasse 45 - BR Blue - 45032

Very happy with my purchase - very well derailed & runs perfectly out of the box. Bargain at £99.

Great product at an amazing price. Runs great on my layout.

Looks very good so far - not run yet (need to dig out a screwdriver to remove a packing piece). Everything in place on the loco - nothing loose or missing.
External packaging was badly crushed - fortunately the locomotive box (and contents) were undamaged.

A reasonably-priced faithful rendering of a much loved prototype. Plenty of scope for customisation and detailing - all the basics look 'right'. Can't comment on haulage yet, but it started straight from the box and conveys the bulk of the originals! Any chance of a '40'?

I have never owned a class 45 after watching many other videos of other people who has modelled them i took the plunge and bought one.

Safe to say i am very impressed the detail and tooling well done to heljan.

For the price - this is a lovely loco.
I fitted DCC sound, though ended up having to put the speaker in the cab as I was concerned about fouling the articulating drive mechanism; it’s not visible as wrapped in black insulation so doesn’t detract.
I hadn’t bought any new locos for a couple of years primarily because costs were getting crazy.
The detail and finish of this Class 45 is absolutely fine for my level of modelling, and I’m a lot happier applying some dubious weathering to a £100 loco than a £250 one!

Very good model, as to be expected from a heljan diesel. One thing to improve, instructions could be clearer. Will be buying again very soon

A great model for an amazing price! Highly detailed an accurate to the design and contours of the original with subtle grill surrounds (including rivet heads) and separately applied step and water spout covers for ex-steam heating locos, even in a very slightly different shade of blue to accent the detail. Unique wheel truck movement withing the bogie to reduce the amount of overhand when rounding curves. If I am being extremely picky, the only thing I can fault is the BR Blue is a little dull and the Yellow slightly paler than some of my other models but, having said that, still a lot better than the recent much darker BR Blue offerings from Hornby. A great little "Peak", which will look great hauling BR Mk.2s and/or Hopper Wagons around my layout!

Great model, runs like a dream

After running it in 30 minutes each way it’s still running slower in one direction then then other i will try another controller and update my review. there was a few parts in the packaging upon opening which i can sort out and put back them back on

It runs like a dream which is the main part. Delivery time excellent. The only reason this doesn't get 4 stars is, it came with a buffer off found rattling in box and had to glue it back into place. Lots of details on this model,pipes etc already fitted but mutch more in the accessories bag. Great price
