Produceret mellem 1960 og 1962, blev klasse 45 bygget som et samarbejde mellem British Railways' Derby Works og Crewe Works og var en stabil del af hovedlinjetræk på Midland Mainline helt op til 1982, da de blev brugt til sekundære tjenester efter introduktionen af HST'erne.

This O gauge locomotive receives overwhelmingly positive feedback. Customers praised its "stunning" detail, "perfect weathering for a slightly worn look," and exceptional value. A locomotive with huge presence, I love the low level of factory weathering, its just enough to take the shine off a new model.

2 minor issues missing vent covers as per photos on both sides
Bogies need mounting swapped around to give adequate clearance to negotiate any undulating track
Although does fit the area I model, what a locomotive. looks gorgeous pulling a mixed freight

Stunning beast of a loco! The weathering is perfect for a slightly worn look. The loco itself is incredibly weighty. Shouldn't have any problem with my long rake of MK1s. I think I'm ging to have to buy another - is 3 greedy?
