Klasse 45/0 - BR Blå - Uden nummer - O Skala

My first blue diesel in O and it will not be the last. Superb presence and detail. With Realtec numbers, Modelu figures and ESU sound from Road and Rails -no connection except as a satisfied customer- this Peak is now the peak of my 1980s fleet!

Almost a five star product, and only let down by some bogie oversights in the design. Front bogie plates include the extensions for ETH fitted 45/1's, which need to be cut off. One bogie side frame has missing bolt heads on two axlebox covers. Fairly easy to remedy if you have the right tools and hex head cosmetic bolts. Anyway, for the new lower prices, these are minor issues, and it is still a great model.

High quality, lots of nice separately fitted details, weighty and powerful. Absolute steal for just under £250!

It’s a Peak, it’s pure class what’s not to love

Having arrived late on the model railway scene, I was immediately impressed by the quality of detail offered by Heljan on their O scale diesel locomotives. So, in September 2024, I placed my first order and even though it was a considered purchase, that was me hooked. I now own 16 Heljan O scale locomotives, 15 of which are twin motor, together with a selection of rolling stock, ( carriages, wagons etc.) all are in mint condition, untouched and remain as they arrived.
This collection represents a considerable investment, so the recent announcement that Heljan would be selling directly to the public and at new lower prices, was very welcome!
I gave them a try, by placing an order on the 2nd April for a Class 45 and was kept informed at various points till my purchase was dispatched and delivered with care next day by DPD. I was so delighted with this direct purchase system, that I have since ordered my second, Class 45 which also arrived safely!
Between these two orders, I reckon to have saved over £400 as opposed to buying elsewhere. Add to this, free delivery and loyalty points, I’ll certainly be back for more soon!! RB.

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever". Almost perfect model - I can overlook the slight shape error around the top of the cab doors. However, the extra tab on the bogie ends (to support non-existent ETH fittings on 45/0) probably should have been snipped-off before these left the factory. :-)
