Produceret mellem 1960 og 1962, blev klasse 45 bygget som et samarbejde mellem British Railways' Derby Works og Crewe Works og var en stabil del af hovedlinjetræk på Midland Mainline helt op til 1982, da de blev brugt til sekundære tjenester efter introduktionen af HST'erne.

Customers praised this O Scale diesel locomotive for its "superb detail" and "excellent value." The model captures the size and bulk of the prototype with highly detailed cab interior and separately fitted details. Shoppers appreciated the competitive pricing and fast delivery. Minor issues noted include non-standard wheel flanges and bogie design oversights.
What a great model! Lovely detail and reassuringly weighty/substantial. The only thing I didn't realise with the un-numbered models is that the transfers aren't supplied, just so that you know.

My first blue diesel in O and it will not be the last. Superb presence and detail. With Realtec numbers, Modelu figures and ESU sound from Road and Rails -no connection except as a satisfied customer- this Peak is now the peak of my 1980s fleet!

Considering another...
Almost a five star product, and only let down by some bogie oversights in the design. Front bogie plates include the extensions for ETH fitted 45/1's, which need to be cut off. One bogie side frame has missing bolt heads on two axlebox covers. Fairly easy to remedy if you have the right tools and hex head cosmetic bolts. Anyway, for the new lower prices, these are minor issues, and it is still a great model.
High quality, lots of nice separately fitted details, weighty and powerful. Absolute steal for just under £250!
