Bygget af Brush Traction mellem 1957 og 1962, blev Class 31 designet som en erstatning for damptræk i forskellige regioner. Disse seks aksel lokomotiver blev en "jack of all trades" lokomotiv og blev fundet på både godstransport og passagertransport. 263 class 31'er blev produceret, og gennem deres operationelle karriere havde de mange forskellige underklasser og operatører.

This is my second Calss 31, the other one is from an earlier release, this one is better as it has the XL interface, so sound fitting is much easier.

Another cracking model from Heljan. Solid loco, lovely detail and runs sweet as a nut. No issues pulling a long rake of tank wagons. Pity they weren't available in BR blue though...

The CL31 from Heljan is superb beyond believe, Detail second to none and the price what can be said about the price, No one can compete it truly is a bargain, I use to work them from Sheffield to Manchester in the 70s

Runs well on my rolling road set up 🤗, not had a chance to run her on the Layout, as have been completely revamping the Railway room, once that's complete, I'll carry out the re - profiling of the buffer beams & she'll be ready to enter traffic 🤗😺.
