Bygget af Brush Traction mellem 1957 og 1962, blev Class 31 designet som en erstatning for damptræk i forskellige regioner. Disse seks aksel lokomotiver blev en "jack of all trades" lokomotiv og blev fundet på både godstransport og passagertransport. 263 class 31'er blev produceret, og gennem deres operationelle karriere havde de mange forskellige underklasser og operatører.

Another great Heljan diesel .. bought this to go alongside the Heljan Class 73/1 BR large logo. This Class 31 has great detailing inside and out and as soon as the heat drops I can get it running outside.
very nice model, great pulling power, it even takes the 60cm (24") curves of the old Roco/Atlas switches on my layout.
Arrived next day great service , have had a look at it and it looks great, but haven't run it yet.

Very fast delivery, the DPD man arrived at 08:50 the next day. The Coal Sector 31 is just how these locos looked, other than it was clean anyway.
Its totally beautiful in every respect, I use to work them in Sheffield in the 70s
This model is just superb, I cannot fault the appearance of the model and the price paid was the icing on the cake. It’s not been run yet as it needs adaptation to dcc but all very good so far. Speed of service also was 1st class. Well done Heljan!
As before great service third purchase 2x class 58 and 1xclass31 just wish you still had some class 56s , service great with next day delivery
